This time of year is very fulfilling - and full of things to do! It's no wonder we see an increase in anxiety around this time. As I've been helping Newcastle students identify their emotions and self-regulate, I have been showing this enlightening video. The most portable and available tool we have for calming ourselves is our breath - we just need to learn how to use it strategically, breathing in through our nose and filling up our belly. 3 full belly breaths often does the trick.
